From the 1st August 2007 Home Information Packs, (HIPs), become a compulsory part of selling a home with four bedrooms or more. HIPs are designed to speed up the process of buying and selling homes by providing various documents to a prospective purchaser when they are considering buying a home.

Essentially a HIP should be obtained before the home is put on the market. Failure to comply with the law can result in a fine. As a HIP is a legal document it is essential that it is compliant and accurate.
